ARNOLD G REVEALS THE STORY BEHIND “DREAMS” ON “GARY LEAVITT & FRIENDS” - 95.9 WATD FM BOSTON!

Story about "Dreams"—A Childhood Dream Reimagined Through Music

For Arnold G, “Dreams” is more than a song—it is part of his story.

Arnold G’s new EDM-House interpretation of Stevie Nicks’ legendary composition transforms the timeless classic into an energetic contemporary dance experience, blending nostalgia with modern electronic production, soaring emotion, and Arnold’s signature soulful vocals.

Produced and crafted with the Grammy team: Carl Simeon Fernandes, Kim Cameron, and Alex Otey, the recording brings together polished production, dynamic arrangements, powerful vocals, and a high-energy dance sensibility.
But behind the music is a deeply personal story.

Growing up in the Philippines in the 1970s, Arnold experienced a difficult and isolated childhood. Music became his escape and his connection to a world beyond his circumstances.

One day, he found a small broken 9V AM transistor radio on his way home from school and repaired it. That little radio became his window to the outside world. He listened to music for hours, and “Dreams” became one of the songs that inspired him to believe he would someday be free.

At 13, his father kicked him out of home and eventually began a new life in America.

Decades later, as a singer, dancer, and recording artist, he found himself recording the very song that had once given him hope.

“Dreams” represents that journey, from a young boy listening to a transistor radio and dreaming of freedom to an artist finally able to reinterpret that song on his own terms. “This is more than a remix. It is a dream that came full circle.”
— Arnold G

The accompanying demo music video brings that message into a contemporary visual world, with an energetic, highly danceable presentation designed to connect with today's audiences, including Gen Z.

The recording has already received positive feedback from music curators and playlist programmers, including IAN C. of HOUSE Radio, who selected the track for inclusion on their playlist, praising its energy, creativity, and quality.

Reload Music also shared the track as a strong fit for a dance-pop playlist, describing it as a classic cover given an EDM twist with an energy well suited to the genre.

The Creative Team
Arnold G credits the talented professionals who helped bring his vision to life:

Arnold says their talent, hard work, and belief in the project were instrumental in transforming his personal connection to “Dreams” into a contemporary EDM-House recording.

For Arnold G, this is not simply a new version of a classic. It is the celebration of freedom, resilience, and the power of a dream, and an invitation for listeners to dance their hearts out.

Deaf awareness - tools, and techniques for communicating with people with hearing loss

DY DEXTERITY SINGS ‘IMAGINE’ BY JOHN LENNON | THE VOICE STAGE #24
Drawn to the stage at a young age, Andy started doing Sign Language with his mum after she had an invasive surgery and had to relearn how to use her body again. During this time, he became fascinated with the many ways with which we communicate, and decided that music and performance needed to be more inclusive of the deaf community. Incorporating signing into his performances he invented 'sign dance' and went on to be the founding member of the Auslan Choir. In a world-first, Andy Dexterity is the first-ever sign language artist on The Voice Stage.

DEAF-BLIND PEOPLE FACE MANY CHALLENGES, including communication, mobility, and learning difficulties. They may also experience isolation and loneliness, and their sense of security may be impacted. Here are some ways that deaf-blind people may need help:

Communication
Deaf-blind people may have difficulty following conversations, especially if there are multiple speakers or the speaker is unfamiliar. They may also have trouble hearing noises around them, like a doorbell or a knock at the door. To help, others can speak slowly, clearly, and loudly, and lean in close when speaking.

Mobility
Deaf-blind people may need help developing skills for moving around safely. They may also need assistance with purchasing adaptive technology to help them live more independently.

Learning
Deaf-blindness can limit a child's access to the world around them, which can lead to isolation and affect their development and learning. The combined effects of vision and hearing loss can also create barriers that block or distort information, making it difficult for students to learn. Special education and related services can help children with deaf-blindness to address their individual needs.

Therapy
Some deaf-blind people may need therapy, but it can be difficult to find a professional with the knowledge to help them.

LYRICS

I have been through so much lately
I know it has taken a lot out of me
At times it must seem like…

Things will never be same
And I know is way long home
When you haven’t got a ride…

But I know that I will handle it
Cause I’m one of the bravest
I’ve ever known...

So, I got to sing a song
Cause the way that I’m going
Is far too long...

Alone, when I can’t hear a sound
I’m halfway to free…freedom

I have an inner strength that keeps me hanging on in situations the would try the best of me.

I might not see myself that way. But, I know people do…

That’s not to say, ha! that it’s easy
Just that I am a fighter!

So, I got to sing a song...
Cause the way that I’m going
Is far too long.

Alone, when I can’t hear a sound
I’m halfway to free…freedom

Nothing is going to hold me down
Nothing can hurt me,
Nothing will stop me,
From breaking free…

And I am halfway there
I am going to make it!
Freedom is here and
I know I am going win!!

So, I got to sing a song
Cause the way that I’m going
Is far too long

Alone, when I can’t hear a sound
I am halfway to free…freedom

Freedom….
I’m free…
and I’m free,
I am free!...

“To all the lives we’ve lost by now...to all the lives we will save from now.”
~ Arnold G

LYRICS

Sitting in my room last night
Looking back upon my life
And the places that I've been
Pictures, faces of friends that I've lost..

I try to remember when
The last time I saw them
Into the light zone

Faded memories on the wall
Some names I have forgotten
But each one is a memory
I look back on so often.
I look into the past
I want to make it last
I begin to say….
Now we’re all together
Let’s sing a fighting song

Chorus
Carry on with remembrance
Carry on with awareness
Carry on with courage
Carry on with hope…
I couldn’t find the reason why
I couldn’t be near my friends
I then I realize…
I need to wake up soon
So very soon…
Into the light zone
Into the light under
A piercing and I’m only
Barely holding on
To something that is real
Oh, so real…

Chorus
Carry on with remembrance
Carry on with awareness
Carry on with courage
Carry on with hope…
I look into the past
I want to make it last
I begin to say…
Now we’re all together
Let’s sing a fighting song!

Chorus
Carry on with remembrance
Carry on with awareness
Carry on with courage
Carry on with hope…
Forever carry on
For as long as we’re together
Darkness all around us
We don’t close our eyes in darkness…

Oh, yeah… we don’t close….
Oh, we will see through lights…
Oh, once for all....
Ooh, ooh, ooh….

"Humania Documentary"

HUMANIA DOCUMENTARY SYNOPSIS:

Humania is an ambitious 90-minute documentary film that offers solutions to help empower and reclaim the health and future of all who suffer from mental health issues.

It aims to help prevent future increases in mental health prevalence globally, by inspiring change within the paradigm of mental health care, and increasing awareness, stigmatizing, humanizing, and offering solutions of care.

A new multi-disciplinary platform of care is presented to help motivate and empower new generations as they may receive support and care to avoid the development of mental health issues.

We focus on being part of the solution, instead of the problem. We acknowledge that a healthy person can go down a spiral of despair and fall into the trap of ineffective care within a broken system: As their social environment changes with their family, work, and relationships, so does their mental health status.

We want to stop the progression with solutions that have been shown to work.

The mental health spectrum is wide, and arches from the severely mentally ill to the mildly depressed, the whole of a person and their environment matter. Targeted for both the general public who need to be heard and feel empowered and those stakeholders who influence care and policy change.

Humania inspires action not only to the viewers, but to those viewed as less-than, weak, and unimportant. Historical images and stories of mismanaged, misinformed, often abusive care which range from the early 1770s, and problematic deinstitutionalization of the 1970s, through 2017, demonstrate the fallacies of past and current systems and refocuses this historical lens onto new global paradigms for promoting positive mental health outcomes. The success of the inclusive multidisciplinary and socio-ecological framework reminds us of how vital it is to have a whole-person approach to mental health care and sustainability, prevention, and care.

What would it be like to shift from prescription-only treatments to interdisciplinary, and community approaches to care?

We educate and inspire by providing archival footage and historical information on mental health, heartfelt interviews, and success stories, and build credibility and confidence through revealing interviews with health care and public health organizations such as CDC, UNESCO, psychiatrists, psychologists, care centers, and more.

We continue the global prerogative; “No one left behind.”
